1—James Anderson’s twin strikes leaves Bangladesh gasping early on

After winning the toss, England’s decision to bowl first was justified with their strike bowler Jimmy Anderson who had taken just dismal two wickets in the ongoing tournament came heavily upon the Bangladesh’s top order. 2—Mahmudullah’s record century

Mahmudullah continued his good form in the tournament to first provide stability to Bangladesh innings first along with Soumya Sarkar and again with Mushfiqur Rahim. Playing the role of anchor, he went on to hit his maiden century that also made him the first Bangladesh batsman to hit hundred in World Cups. He finally departed at the score of 103 (138 deliveries).

3—Mushfiqur Rahim’s 89, England’s decent work in death overs
