Riding high on the bowlers dominating performance, India thrashed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) side for a massive 9-wicket victory in 2015 Cricket World Cup Group B fixture showdown at the WACA Ground in Perth. Team India has completed a hat-trick of victories, beating Pakistan, South Africa and UAE in the 11th edition of Cricket World Cup, to dominate the Group B points table in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. After reducing the United Arab Emirates for a paltry 102 runs off 31.3 overs at the WACA, Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli completed the formalities of the match chasing the target of 103 in 18.5 overs. India lost the lone wicket of last match centurion Shikhar Dhawan but it was good, solid knock by Rohit Sharma who smashed his first half-century in the 11th edition of Cricket World Cup. Also Read: Ashwin led Team India’s bowling display among Top 5 highlights of IND vs UAE, Cricket World Cup 2015 match.

The match 21 between India and United Arab Emirates belonged specially to one man – off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin who was the pick of the bowlers, notching his first four-wicket haul in One-Day Internationals (ODI) for 25 runs from his 10 overs — which also included a maiden. Catch the Updated POINTS TABLE OF 2015 CRICKET WORLD CUP here.

Pacer Umesh Yadav (2/15) and spinner Ravindra Jadeja (2/23) clinched two wickets each as the minnows were bowled out for the lowest total of this World Cup so far. The UAE just about managed to avoid becoming the first team to get bowled out for under 100 against India in a World Cup. However, it is still the lowest total by any team against India in the quadrennial event.

The extra pace and bounce of the Perth pitch was too much for the UAE batsmen to encounter after opting to bat. India’s spinners enjoyed the bounce as well, picking up six of the 10 available wickets. Only three players managed to reach double digits with Sialkot-born Shaiman Anwar, who scored a brilliant century against Ireland in their last match, topping with 35 before being bowled by Yadav. Pacers Mohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up a wicket each too.  Also Read: ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Schedule: Complete Fixtures & Time Table of all Cricket World Cup 2015 Matches
