Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in March this year. Though union territories have less number of seats, still there are some interesting fights emerging in Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Dadra and Nagar Haveli have only one seat. The 2024 Indian general election in Dadra and Nagar Haveli will be held on 7th May 2024 to elect the sole member of 18th Lok Sabha from Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Voting Day – May 7
Results Day – 4th June 2024
As there is only one seat in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, voting will happen on 7th May 2024, so there won’t be any other phases as such.

Dadra and Nagar Haveli – Kalaben Delkar
During earlier Lok Sabha elections in Dadra and Nagar Haveli Congress party won 1971, 1977, and 1980 elections. In the 1984 & 1989 elections, the Congress lost the seat to an independent candidate. However in the 1991 elections the Congress regained the seat in the 1991 elections.
In 1996 Congress And in 1998 they won the elections. In 1999, again this seat went to an independent candidate. In the 2004 elections candidate from the Bharatiya Navshakti Party (BNP) Mohanbhai Delkar won the election. The BJP won this seat in 2009 and 2014 during Modi’s regime.
Dadra and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha Election 2019 Results
Mohanbhai Sanjibhai Delkar has been the Member of Parliament from this seat for seven terms in Parliament from 1989 to 2004 consecutively. However after his death, his wife Kalaben Delkar (50), fought the bypoll elections on Shiv Sena ticket and won with a margin of 51,269 votes. She got 1,18,035 votes against BJP’s Mahesh Gavit, bagging 66,766 votes.
However this time she has announced her candidacy on the Bharatiya Janata Party.
