After coming out to the public about her battle with clinical depression and anxiety earlier this year, actress Deepika Padukone had also spoken about starting a foundation to create awareness and support for mental health care in the country.
The actress, who had dedicated 2015 to mental health awareness, has now kick started her foundation. Deepika announced on Twitter that her foundation has now been registered and an official launch will happen in a few months. “The Live Love Laugh Foundation registered today!Official launch in the next few months!will keep you’ll posted!Thank you for all the love!” wrote Deepika.
Deepika has worked closely with a team of experts and psychiatrists in building this mental health care foundation. She was to launch it March 21 this year as that was the day in 2014 that she had for the first time reached out to a Bangalore-based psychiatrist on her mother’s recommendation. But the process took longer than expected. Yet, now with the registration process done, the actress will soon launch the foundation and begin work.
