csk-vs-kkr

In a home match of IPL 2015, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) amidst a sea of yellow covering the MA Chidambaram Stadium. CSK have lost just one game this season that too against the table toppers Rajasthan Royals (RR), which shows their dominance this year. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders’s record doesn’t really tell the real story of their performance this season. They have been hit by rain on couple of occasions, which has led to them losing 3 points already. Both the teams will be looking to deliver in this match so that they can claim a top 2 finish. Also Catch the updated Points Table of Pepsi IPL 2015 here.

Kolkata wouldn’t be too happy with their batting performance except the form of Gautam Gambhir in the eighth season of IPL. The middle order and Robin Uthappa have been outright disappointing when their team has needed them. The match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) showed their inability to perform in a pressure situation and the incapability to score quickly under pressure. The only exception to this has been André Russell who single handedly won them the match against the Kings XI Punjab. Every eye would be on the bowling of this team though. After Sunil Narine being reported again for suspect action, the bowling line up might just lose the balance that they showed in the previous game.

CSK on the other hand have literally run through bowling of the opposition. Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Smith and Suresh Raina don’t even bother showing respect to the bowlers and have the confidence to go after them from ball one. The bowling, led by Ashish Nehra has surprised one and everyone with their discipline and accuracy. Chennai, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni has once again proved to be the team to bit and looks good for a third title under their name.

Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata knight riders have together 4 IPL trophies between them. They have presumably made the IPL a two team affair as they have had won 4 of the last 5 title BETWEEN THEM. This year too, they look likely to join the Rajasthan Royals in the Play-offs. With two top teams playing in the game, the fans are the one who will be getting their money’s worth. No matter who wins this game, some high profile entertainment is guaranteed in this clash of the titans.
