Highlights of Day 20 – April 27, Match 27: Sunrisers Hyderabad edge past Kings XI Punjab by 20 runs

Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kings XI Punjab by 20 runs in an Indian Premier League match at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium. Set 151 for victory, Kings XI could only manage 130 for nine. The win propelled Sunrisers to the fifth spot in the standings with six points from seven matches while Kings XI were placed at the bottom with four points after seven games.

Day 21 Schedule – April 28, Match 28: Knights set for tough test against CSK

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face perhaps their toughest challenge yet when they meet an in-form Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. MS Dhoni have five wins from six games while Knight Riders have three wins from six games, having shared a point against Rajasthan Royals after a washout in Kolkata. But the prime focus is the suspense over participation of Knight Riders’ premier spinner Sunil Narine, who is eligible to bowl in the coming matches despite being reported again for suspected illegal action.

Team Form and Match Prediction: Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders

The Super Kings have been in blazing form of late, winning five of their six games in the tourney. Their only loss came against table-toppers Rajasthan Royals at Ahmedabad where they were convincingly beaten by eight wickets. However, CSK stamped their authority after they outclassed Kings XI Punjab in the last match here on Saturday. A dominant batting display saw the home side post a formidable 192/3 while Kings XI only managed to reach 95/9 in their 20 overs.

While Knight Riders have three wins from six games, having shared a point against Rajasthan Royals after a washout in Kolkata. The ‘men in purple’ will rely on their batting “firepower” to deliver the goods, especially with such wonderful domestic talent at their disposal.
