Rajasthan Royals will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their 12th match of the season in an attempt to register their 7th victory and seal their spot in the top 4. Sunrisers on the other hand need this victory in order to stay in the competition. They have won 4 games this season and with just 5 games to go they at least need to win 3 games in order to stay alive in the tournament. Royals have been one of the best teams this season although their form in the last 6 games has been rather disappointing. With them returning back to winning ways, Sunrisers don’t seem to have a easy road to achieve their victory this game. Here’s taking a look at some of the key players from this game.
Ajinkya Rahane: Rahane has 430 runs to his name this season and is a long way ahead of his immediate rival who is also playing this game. Ajinkya Rahane has provided the royals with stability at the top and his new formed partnership with Shane Watson is doing wonders for the Royals. He is coming off fresh from a 91 run innings against Delhi daredevils in their last game. Royals would hope for Ajinkya to come good in this all important match for them. Sanju Samson: What a talent this guy is. His innings of 76 against Mumbai Indians showed everyone why he is rated so highly by the likes of Rahul Dravid and Shane Watson. Some of the shots he played in that game were just unrealistic. Just 20 years old, this boy hits sixes with an ease that even Chris Gayle would be proud of. He has a lot to gain with a strong performance this IPL as he must be eyeing the spot left by MS Dhoni in the Indian team. One can check the complete schedule of Team RR for IPL 2015 here.
James Faulkner: The all rounder has lost his golden touch that he possessed when the season started. He was even dropped from the team due to his lack of ability to perform with both the bat and the ball. But just like any other champion player he made a comeback in the last game and picked up 2/22 in his 4 overs, showing signs of his old self. If Faulkner starts performing again, there would be very little that nay team could do to stop the Royals from moving ahead in the tournament. Also Read- Rajasthan Royals Team Profile.
David Warner: he has been the lone warrior with the bat for his team. It is pretty evident from the overall performances of the team as well. If he plays well they all seem to perform, if he fails at the top nothing works out with bat for them. With 378 runs this season, he would also be having his eye on his counterpart Ajinkya Rahane in the Orange Cup race as a good performance here will not only grant his team the win but will also surge them closer to Rahane in the highest run scorers race. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar: Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has set himself apart from the like of Dale Steyn and Trent Boult and has enjoyed performing in the shadow of the two international stars. He is Sunrisers highest wicket taker this season and his economy is also one to envy for most bowlers this year. With 13 wickets to his name and the new found ability to deliver Yorkers on demand at the death he has become a major player for the Sunrisers in their success plan.
