Mumbai Indians won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 on Sunday by beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final at Eden Gardens by 61 runs. The emphatic win helped Mumbai Indians’ bag their second IPL title. The first victory came in 2013. Back then, Sachin Tendulkar was still a crucial member of the side. It also happened to be his last IPL match. Following the win, he announced his retirement. He went on to play for Mumbai Indians in the Champions League T20 where they emerged victorious yet again, but Tendulkar never played an IPL match thereafter. However, this year he was a part of the support staff, playing the role of an icon. He was always there for all the Mumbai Indians matches and cheered the players on.
