S8UL Emit Lights At E-sports Awards 2024 In Riyadh: Check Out Full List Of Winners
The E-sports Awards which was held in collaboration with the E-sports World Cup, took place in Riyadh on 24th August. The event was focused on the talents and achievements of the gaming e-sports era.
New Delhi: The Esports Awards which was held in collaboration with the Esports World Cup, took place in Riyadh on 24th August. The event was focused on the talents and achievements of the gaming e-sports era.
This event was the first of its kind under the new partnership but, was detracted by the controversy early on, with several panellists stepping down following the announcement of the collaboration. Despite the great start, the ceremony proceeded to honour outstanding achievements in the esports industry.
One of the major highlights was Valorant winning the prestigious Esports Game of the Year award, while Mobile Legends, Bang Bang was recognised as the Esports Mobile Game of the Year. These are just a few titles among many awarded during the event, which celebrated the dynamic and rapidly growing esports community.
Winners and Nominees in the event:
We all know that a streamer can give a lot of hope and confidence to the starting career of any individual in esports. So, the Streamer Of The Year was awarded to Samantha ‘Rivers’ Rivera Trevino, who clinched over other notable personalities such as Kai Cenat and Nicholas ‘Jynxzi’ Stewart. Her win has had a very lethal influence and impact on the streaming world.
In the Esports Personality of the Year category, Seth ‘Scump’ Abner took home the top honour, outshining competitors like Jeremy ‘DisguisedToast’ Wang and Tarik ‘Tarik’ Çelik. The community recognised Scump’s longstanding contribution to the esports scene.
The title of Esports Content Group of the Year was secured by S8UL Esports, besting among strong contenders like G2 Esports and Offline TV. This victory has a powerful impact on S8UL’s innovative content and its connection with the people.
The domination of Riot Games made the evening very special, with Valorant winning Esports Game of the Year and Riot Games itself being named Esports Publisher of the Year. Riot’s continued investment in and development of esports has paid off with both critical and popular acclaim.
Other remarkable awards include Esports Commercial Partner of the Year, which went to Red Bull for its major role in the involvement in esports sponsorships and Esports Creative Team of the Year, claimed by Tram Liquid for its exceptional content and branding efforts.
The Esports Content of the Year award was won by League of Legends’ “GODS” featuring NewJeans, further cementing the game’s legacy in the industry.
At the end of the list, the Esports Analyst of the Year award was taken home by Jacob ‘Pimp’ Winneche while Stanislav ‘Malr1ne’ Potorak from Team Falcon was named the Esports Breakthrough Player of the Year.
Lifetime Achievement Award:
A special Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Jens Hilgers for his influential work with ESL and G2 Esports. His contributions have left a lasting mark on the esports industry, earning him this prestigious recognition.
The first phase of the Esports Awards in Riyadh has set a high bar among the people and many influencers of the esports community. The second phase which is building excitement will take place in London. As the esports industry continues to grow, events like these play a very important role in cherishing the talent and hard work of those involved.
