Bengaluru Traffic Advisory Issued

The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) has banned all traffic except two-wheelers on the KR Puram ramp of the Hebbal flyover starting Wednesday, April 17 as the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) has taken up work to add two new lanes to the Hebbal flyover. The BDA is adding two lanes to the flyover as it has been witnessing congestion due to heavy traffic flow. “As part of the work, two spans of the existing KR Puram up ramp need to be dismantled at the junction where the ramp joins the main track,” the BTP said in a statement.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police has now asked commuters from Nagavara (Outer Ring Road) going towards the city via Mekhri Circle to go to Hebbal Circle below the flyover, take the right towards Kodigehalli, and then take a U-turn to join the service road and further join the loop towards the city, reports thehindu.com. “Commuters coming from KR Pura towards the city are requested to use alternative routes such as IOC-Mukunda theatre road, Lingarajapuram flyover and Nagavara-Tannery road route to enter the city,” said the BTP.
