Attention Bengaluru: Meat Sale Banned In Silicon City Today – Here’s Why

Bengaluru Meat Ban: The sale and slaughter of meat are banned in Bengaluru city as it celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi on Saturday, September 7. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s (BBMP) Animal Advisory Board has issued guidelines to all meat shop owners, instructing them not to sell meat today. Notably, over 3,000 meat shops and three authorised slaughterhouses fall under the BBMP’s jurisdiction. The guidelines have been issued for all licensed meat shops.

BBMP Issues Guidelines For Ganesh Pandals

The BBMP has introduced guidelines for those setting up Ganesh pandals across Bengaluru. According to Deccan Herald, over 60 window clearance centers have been established to simplify the permit process for organisers in the city.

Special Arrangements For Ganesh Idol Immersion

Additionally, arrangements are being made for the smooth immersion of idols, as organisers plan to conduct rallies for the immersion. Popular immersion spots include Sankey Lake, Halasuru Lake, Yediyur Lake, Agara Lake, and Hebbal Lake. Meanwhile, BESCOM is preparing for the grand Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations as well.
