Karnataka Lok Sabha Election 2024: As the third phase of Lok Sabha election is underway in Karnataka, various pubs and bars are offering discounts on beer for those who take part in the voting for the general elections. Over 14 seats are in the polls in Karnataka’s third phase of the Lok Sabha election. The Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress are fighting each other head-on in the state’s second round of electoral contest. Nearly 41.59% voter turnout was recorded till 1 PM This time, the polling is being held in Hubballi, Karnataka, today.
In the meantime, a bar owner in Hubballi announced an innovative idea to increase the voting percentage and said those who show their voting ID will get a special discount on beer.
Local reports suggest that the bar owner has offered to give a 3 per cent discount on the MRP. The owner of Karnataka Wines shop on Kusugal Road, Hubballi, has made this announcement and according to him, to make a strong India, everyone has been called upon to exercise their right to elect a good person and send them to Parliament.
The announcement from the pub owner comes as the turnout was very low in the last election as well. So this year, he wants to make a change.
bar owner Vinayak Akalvadi has requested all not to avid voting and said that a discount would be given to those who buy alcohol on May 8 by showing their inked index finger.
As per a report by News 18, Nisarga Grand Hotel on Nrupatunga Road has also offered free butter dosa, ghee rice, and a beverage to voters on voting day.
Deck of Brews, another restaurant in Bellandur, also announced to offer free mugs of beer and discounts to voters on April 27 and 28.
