Bengaluru Shocker: Woman Finds Hidden Phone Filming Coffee Shop’s Toilet for Hours

A woman allegedly found a hidden camera in the washroom of famous coffee chain Third Wave Coffee. the phone was placed in the dustbin of the washroom.

Bengaluru: A shocking incident has come to light in Bengaluru, where an employee of a famous coffee chain hid a mobile phone in the women’s washroom. The man placed the mobile phone after turning on its video recording. This bizarre incident occurred at the Third Wave Coffee outlet on BEL Road. The matter came to light after the Instagram handle ‘Gangs Of Cinepur’ shared a story in which a user narrated her experience at the café. ‘I was at the Third Wave Coffee outlet in Bengaluru… A woman found a phone in the washroom, hidden in the dustbin, with its video recording on for about 2 hours, facing the toilet seat. It was in flight mode so that it made no sound,’ the story read.

“The phone was carefully hidden in the dustbin bag and had a hole made in it so that only the camera was exposed. It was quickly found that the phone belonged to one of the men working there. The police were called, and they arrived soon enough, and action is being taken,” it added.

“This was so horrific to witness. I will be vigilant at any washroom I use from now on, no matter how well-known the chain of cafes or restaurants is. I request all of you to do the same. This is disgusting,” the story read.

Third Wave Coffee responded to the disturbing incident and stated that such actions are absolutely unacceptable.

“We regret the unfortunate incident at our BEL Road outlet in Bengaluru and want to emphasize that such actions are absolutely unacceptable at Third Wave Coffee,” the outlet said.

The coffee chain also informed that it has terminated the employee.

The Bengaluru Police also confirmed that the accused employee has been arrested. A preliminary probe revealed that the accused, who is in his early twenties, is a resident of Bhadravati in Karnataka.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
