Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Vehicular Movement On This Road Restricted Today, Check Alternate Routes

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Bengaluru Police issued a traffic advisory to restrict vehicular movement on the Doddanekundi Main Road till August 18 due to railroads’ U guard work. Commuters heading on the route can use ISRO Road and turn left at Karthik Nagar intersection to continue. Drivers travelling from Outer Ring Road towards HAL or Doddanekundi can take a U-turn at this crossroads.

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Restrictions And Diversions

• Starting from the 19th of August, private buses that journey between different states will be prohibited from making stops at the Hebbal junction for either picking or dropping off passengers.
• From August 19th onwards, private inter-state buses will unfortunately have no permission to halt at Hebbal junction for any passenger activities like picking up or dropping off.

“In view of the Railway ‘U’ guard work on Doddanakundi Main Road, the following traffic arrangements have been made to ensure smooth traffic flow,” informed Bengaluru Traffic Police on X (formerly Twitter).

In a bid to alleviate the heavy traffic build-up on Hebbal junction, primarily caused by ongoing construction and limited road availability, the traffic management has decided to enforce certain changes. Indeed, these modifications may cause a bit of discomfort initially, however, they were put in to effect in light of the feedback they received from the public.

Should be pointed out that the Mahadevapura and HAL Airport Traffic Police Stations have authority over the railway construction work.

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Work From Home

Previously, businesses situated along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) were alerted about a possible traffic crunch. The government suggested these organizations to encourage their employees for a work-from-home on Wednesday, August 14, aligning with the forthcoming prolonged weekend and anticipated heavy showers. M.N. Anucheth, in the capacity of the Joint Commissioner of Police (Bengaluru Traffic), warned the Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA) in written correspondence about probable severe traffic snarls on the roadway.
