Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: In view of the massive roadwork in Halasuru Gate, Chickpet, and KR Market, the Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory, suggesting that commuters avoid these routes due to a high likelihood of congestion. However, traffic diversions and alternative routes have been provided for smoother traffic flow. Routes such as Bananappa Park and KG Road can be used by commuters to avoid traffic.
Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Restricted Routes
RT Street: BVK Iyengar Road to Avenue Road; Devaradasimaiah Road to OTC Road, BVK Iyengar Road to Balepet Main Road.
Wheel Road: Dr TCM Royan Road Junction to Akkipet Main Road.
Cubbonpet Main Road: Avenue Road to Siddanna Galli.
Bannappa Park Road: Avenue Road to 15th Cross.
Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Alternative Routes
While construction is underway on the Cubbonpet Main Road, you can consider Bananappa Park and KG roads as convenient alternate routes.
Vehicles coming from Avenue Road to the police station junction can reach Avenue Road by taking KG Road.
If construction work has thrown a curveball on your usual Bannappa Park Road route, don’t worry, Cubbonpet Main Road is here to save the day as an alternate path. For anyone coming from TCM Royan Road Junction, you can swerve left to Goods Shed Road when you reach Shantala Junction. From there, take a right that will lead you straight to Cottonpet Main Road. Easy peasy, right?
If you’re on the road from Binny Mill Junction, just keep cruising on Binny Mill Tank Bund Road. Make sure to take a left when you reach Sirsi Circle, and then simply carry onward along Mysuru Road.
Vehicles from Mysuru Road can take Goods Shed Road and Shantala Junction and turn right towards Cottonpet Main Road.
If you’re heading from BVK Iyengar Road, simply take a left towards Mamulpet, following Belli Basavanna Temple Road, to find yourself on Avenue Road. Continue straight if you’re planning to get to RT Street.
If you’re driving down BVK Iyengar Road, you can stick to the same route and make a right turn when you hit the Chickpet roundabout. This will lead you directly to Balepet Main Road via OTC Road, even while work is being done on RT Street.
If you’re heading to Nagarthpet, consider using Devara Dasimaiah Road and subsequently Siddanna Galli Road as your route. This alternative course could be handy during the construction work happening on City Street, between Devara Dasimaiah Road and OTC Road.
If you’re traveling from Nagarthpet Road, you can simply follow City Street, take a left when you reach Nagarthpet Road, and then head towards Avenue Road until you reach your destination at Devera Dasimaiah Road.
