Bengaluru Traffic advisory: In view of the Krishna Janmashtami festival, the Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued an advisory informing citizens about route restrictions and diversions for Monday, August 26. The advisory mentions key roads where vehicles will be prohibited and suggests alternate routes that commuters can use to bypass traffic congestion. As Bengaluru is already infamous for long traffic jams, the traffic police of the Silicon City aims to ensure smooth vehicular movement in the city during the festival.

The new rules take effect from 8:00 am on Monday, August 26, and will last until 6:00 am on Tuesday, August 27, as stated in the official notice issued by Kuldeep Kumar R. Jain. Jain, an IPS officer, holds the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police, overseeing traffic matters in the Eastern sector of Bengaluru.

• Flow of vehicles on Devasandra’s key routes is restricted.
• Traffic cops have provided alternative pathways for commuters.
• Drivers heading towards Devasandra and K R Pura Market from areas like Kodigehalli and Hoodi Main Road should turn right after Lulu’s Bakery at Jai Bhuvaneshwari Intersection.
• Continue the journey to K R Pura Market via Ayyappanagar Main Road, Basavanapura Main Road, and Bhattarahalli Junction.
• This route adjustment is to ease traffic congestion and ensure smooth movement of vehicles.
• To reach Kodigehalli and Hoodi Main Road from K R Pura marketplace, take a right turn at GRT.
• Continue on Basavanapura Main Road, also known as Krishna Talkies Road by locals.
• Pass through Bhattarahalli Junction to stay on the right path.
• This route provides a convenient way to navigate from K R Pura to Kodigehalli and Hoodi Main Road.
• Following these directions will help you reach your destination smoothly.
• “The public are requested to cooperate,” the advisory stated.
