Bengaluru Traffic: The ‘Silicon Valley of India’, Bengaluru is one of the most famous and populated cities of the country and while the people of the Karnataka capital love their city, the one thing that they probably collectively despise, is the infamous Bengaluru Traffic; it wastes a lot of time and causes long traffic jams. To ensure traffic is smooth in different parts of the city, the Bengaluru Traffic Police issues Bengaluru Traffic Advisory and regulate the traffic. Days after the Pune Porsche Crash where an underage boy in a drunken state, ran over his luxury car (Porsche) on a man and woman, taking their lives, the Bengaluru Police Commissioner has given a Bengaluru Traffic Update which is related to the Pune Car Accident.
As mentioned earlier, days after the Pune Porsche Crash, a top cop in Bengaluru has given a traffic update, that is a must for all. According to the Bengaluru Police Commissioner if an underage boy or girl is caught for drunk-driving or violating any other traffic rules, their parents will also have to face the consequences. Addressing the monthly police-public gathering Masika Janasamparka Divasa, the Police Commissioner said, “In such cases, the parents will be booked under the Juvenile Justice Act and if it is a non-bailable offence and the parents will have to go to jail.”
One of the most horrific accident of this year where a 17-year-old boy, driving a Porsche at a speed of 200 kmph, caused the deaths of two software engineers. But this case is not as simple as it seems, everyday a new detail about the case unfolds and in the latest update, On Saturday, the Pune city police arrested the grandfather of a minor boy. The grandfather, a prominent realtor in Pune, was arrested on charges of kidnapping and wrongful confinement after the driver employed to drive the Porsche filed a complaint.
The driver initially said that he was driving the Porsche car but now according to his FIR, the minor’s grandfather allegedly forced him to sit in a BMW car. He took the driver to their bungalow, where he and the minor boy’s father took the driver’s mobile phone and confined him. They then allegedly asked the driver to take the blame for the Porsche car accident
The minor’s father, who is currently in judicial custody, has also been charged in this case. The FIR lodged on Saturday is the third one related to the accident that happened early on May 19. Based on information from the minor boy, the police filed a second FIR on May 20 against his father and six others, including the owner and managers of two restaurants in Pune. These restaurants allegedly served liquor to the minor boy and his friends before the accident. The minor was initially granted bail on the same day by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB). However, at the police’s request, the board later sent the minor to an observation home until June 5.
