Karnataka Sex Scandal Update: A case of sexual harassment was registered on April 28, at the Holenarasipura town police station, against Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna, for sexual harassment against their house help. Prajwal Revanna, who had allegedly left the country after obscene videos of him surfaced on social media platforms came back from Germany and was arrested from the Bengaluru Airport. Amid the ongoing Karnataka Sex Scandal, Prajwal Revanna’s brother, Suraj Revanna who is also a politician, has become part of the headlines. An FIR has been filed by Suraj Revanna as he claims that he has been blackmailed with a false sexual assault case.

Suraj Revanna Being Blackmailed With False Sexual Assault Case

As mentioned earlier, Prajwal Revanna’s brother, Janata Dal-Secular leader Suraj Revann has claimed that he is being blackmailed and threatened with a fake case of sexual harassment by a man in Hassan, Karnataka. A complaint has been file by a friend of Suraj Revanna, Shivkumar who has alleged that two men- Chethan and his brother-in-law had approached him and asked for Rs 5 crore and if he refused, a sexual abuse case would be filed against Suraj Revanna.

FIR Registered Against Two Men By Suraj Revanna

As said before, an FIR has been registered by JD(S) MLC and son of HD Revanna, Suraj Revanna’s PA, Shivkumar, The FIR has been filed under sections 384, 506 against a JD(S) worker and his brother-in-law. Complaint and FIR say that the worker and his brother-in-law were threatening and blackmailing the MLC with false allegations of sexual assault.

In another update in the Karnataka Sex Scandal, the Karnataka High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Janata Dal (Secular) suspended MP Prajwal Revanna’s mother, Bhavani Revanna in a kidnapping case related to the obscene video case. The bail exempts her from arrest. While granting bail, the court also said the petitioner must not visit Mysore and Hassan. Earlier on June 15, the court extended anticipatory bail granted to Bhavani, in a kidnapping case related to the obscene video case. Bhavani is accused in the kidnapping case registered under IPC sections 64(A), 365, 109, 120(B). Her husband, HD Revanna was arrested earlier in connection with the kidnapping case on April 29 and granted conditional bail by a special court for people’s representatives.
