On Thursday, May 2, a lookout notice was issued against Prajwal Revanna by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is probing the obscene videos case.
When Is Blue Corner Notice Issued?
A Blue Corner Notice is issued by the international police cooperation body to collect additional information from its member countries about a person’s identity, location, or activities concerning a crime.
Karnataka Home Minister Parameshwara said the Special Investigation Team formed to probe the sex scandal will decide on how to bring Prajwal back.
“Already Blue Corner notice has been issued. The Interpol will inform all the countries and locate him,” said Parameshwara while interacting with the media in Bengaluru.
In an apparent reference to the arrest of JD(S) MLA HD Revanna, the father of Prajwal Revanna, the Home Minister, while appreciating the work of the SIT formed to probe the case, said that the team is doing its job and has acted as per law on the complaints it has received.
Prajwal’s father HD Revanna also is facing molestation and kidnapping charges and was arrested by the SIT on Saturday, May 4 in the kidnapping case linked to sexual abuse allegations against his son Prajwal.
He was apprehended soon after a Bengaluru court rejected his anticipatory bail plea.
Prajwal Revanna is currently on the run and has reportedly fled the country after allegations of grave sexual assault surfaced against him last week. Earlier, Prajwal’s anticipatory bail application was turned down by Justice Santosh Gajanana Bhat’s bench of the People’s Representative Court in Bengaluru.
