Unusual Matrimonial Ad: Parents always want the best match for their daughters and sons when it comes to a matrimonial alliance. For this, they take different sources like family members, friends, websites, and newspapers.

There is one case about a family from Karnataka that has placed a matrimonial advertisement for their daughter.

So far so good.

The only impediment is that their daughter passed away 30 years ago. This unusual requirement has paved the way for debates, discussions, and arguments alike throughout Dakshina Kannada.

The family has gone ahead with this unusual and weird step as they believe that their daughter’s unmarried status in the afterlife is the root cause of their continuous misfortunes. The ad has quickly become a focal point of discussion among the locals.

The family belongs to Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district and aims to arrange a marriage for their deceased daughter.

The deceased daughter for whom the family has placed a matrimonial advertisement passed away 30 years ago when she was an infant. It was a big shock and emotional trauma for the parents and the family.

The family has been facing many challenges since then. They consulted and sought guidance from their elders who told them that their deceased daughter’s troubled spirit might be the reason behind the constant challenges coming their way.

Hence, as per the advice from the elders, the family decided to arrange to bring peace to her soul, and for that, they decided to arrange a marriage for her. For this, they placed a matrimonial advertisement in a newspaper seeking a groom who died 30 years ago.

The advertisement reads: “Seeking groom who passed 30 years ago for a bride (sic) who passed 30 years ago. Please call the number to arrange a Pretha Maduve (marriage of spirits).”

Despite the extensive efforts of the relatives and friends, they could not find a suitable deceased groom of the same age and caste.
