New Delhi: The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 have started and we are already through with two phases; amid the ongoing elections as well, politicians from different political parties are continuing with their election campaigns and are still addressing rallies across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been very active for the past few months and has been actively addressing rallies in different parts of India; today, PM Modi will be addressing four rallies in the Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere and Ballari districts of the North Karnataka region; these are all districts that will go for polling in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 3. The security arrangements have been heightened in Belagavi district of Karnataka today, because Prime Minister Modi and Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, both will be holding rallies for their respective candidates. PM Modi’s rally will take place at 10:00 AM and as the Prime Minister is in the city, strict security measures have been taken; an order has been issued which has prohibited the use of drowns in Belagavi taluk until Sunday afternoon. The entire Taluk has also been classified as a red zone.
Apart from the security measures taken, traffic restrictions have also been announced for the districts as PM Modi will be present there to address the rally. While BJP party workers have confirmed that there will be no roadshow, traffic still has been diverted and those attending the rally have been allotted specific parking areas. PM Modi will address public rallies to strengthen the BJP state unit’s efforts to consolidate votes in the North Karnataka region. Voting was held in 14 Lok Sabha seats out of 28 in Karnataka on Friday. The other 14 seats that will go to polls on May 7 are Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bidar, Bijapur, Chikkodi, Davanagere, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Haveri, Ballari, Koppal, Raichur, Shimoga, and Uttara Kannada.
