As she announced her wedding, people started wondering about their love story – how they met, fell in love and when did they decide to get married. Kajal opened her heart out on the ‘emotional proposal’ and how they fell in love and what is their love story.
The couple was first acquainted through mutual friends over a decade ago and they instantly hit it off. She told Vogue, “Gautam and I dated for about three years, and then we were friends for seven. We have progressed in every stage of being friends and been very important in each other’s lives.” The pandemic made them realise that they want to spend their life together. Kajal was quoted as saying, “We were used to meeting all the time. Whether it was a social party or an important professional endeavour, the other one would always show up. So, amidst the lockdown, when we didn’t see each other for a few weeks—at best, we would catch a glimpse behind a mask at a grocery store—we realised that we wanted to be together.”
