Navratri is a nine-day auspicious Hindu festival when devotees worship the nine different incarnations of Goddess Durga. As a way of paying their obsience, people also observe a nine-day long fast. There are several restrictions on food grains and what to eat and avoid. While keeping a fast it is also important to maintain the right nutrient and electrolyte balance in the body. Especially summer seasons call for more hydration and immunity.
