Indian-origin actor Dev Patel was seen at the red carpet of the Oscars 2017 in  a white dinner jacket paired with black bow tie and black tuxedo dress pants. He was accompanied by his mother Anita Patel at the 89th annual Academy Awards 2017 red carpet. And we have to say that the mother-son duo looked adorable together posing for the pictures.

And then there was Anita Patel who as complimenting Dev standing right next to him in an elegant black and golden saree posing for the photographs.

We love the fact that Dev did not get rid of his hair and beard that he mainted to look more mature and masculine in his movie Lion.

Dev lost the best supporting actor Academy Award to Moonlight star Mahershala Ali, who created history by becoming the first Muslim to win an acting Oscar. Other nominees in the category were Jeff Bridges (Hell or High Water), Lucas Hedges (Manchester by the Sea and Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals). Patel, who earned nominations in all the major awards this season, had won a BAFTA for his performance.
