But for those who can’t, you can try out this cocktail called Benares to Bombay, that is a fusion of the flavours of Banarasi thandai and alcohol, mixed together to form the perfect cocktail to be served on Holi. The cocktail, that has been sourced from Dishkiyaoon in Bandra Kurla Complex Mumbai, is called Bombay to Benares and it contains brandy, rum, ice-cream, thandai and katha (typically used in paan).

Bombay to Benares Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
Honey bee brandy – 30 ml
Old monk rum – 30 ml
Vanilla ice cream – 1/2 scoop Thandai syrup – 2 tbsp Katha (Catechu) – 1 tsp
Method:
1. Mix brandy and old monk with a dash of water and shake together.
2. Add ice cream and thandai syrup together to shake up in a mixer to a frothy texture.
3. Transfer to a glass and add froth on top. Garnish with Katha.
