All-purpose flour – 500 gm Also Read - Learn How to Make Nilavembu Kashayam, an Immunity Boosting Drink- WATCH!
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Mustard Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Spring Onions 1 bunch
Cheese – 200 gm
Cheddar Cheese – 140 gm
Parmesan Cheese – 25 gm
Oil – 150 ml
Buttermilk – 300 ml
Butter to grease
Sieve 500 gm of all-purpose flour. Add 1 tsp. of baking soda into it.
Also add 1 tsp. of mustard powder in the mixture.
Add salt as per required.
Pre-heat the oven at 180˚ for about 20 minutes.
Chop some spring onions and some regular cheese and add it to the flour mixture.
Grate Cheddar Cheese and Parmesan into the mixture.
Cut and fold the mixture well.
Add 150 ml oil into the mixture.
Add 300 mil of buttermilk into it.
Grease the molds with butter and put the mixture into it.
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
Celery 2 stalks
Carrot 2 medium
Garlic 6 – 8 cloves
Onion 2 large
Olive Oil 2 tbsp
Red Bell Pepper 1
Yellow Bell Pepper 1
Mixed Lentils 1 cup – soak and boil
Pink Lentil (Split & de husked brown lentils)
Mung Beans (Green Gram)
Kala Chana (Brown Chickpeas)
Kabuli Chana (Garbanzo Beans)
Salt to taste
Black Pepper freshly cracked
Thyme 1 sprig
Rosemary 1 sprig
All Purpose Flour 1 tbsp
Vegetable Stock 1
Tomato Purée – 3 tbsp
Green Peas – 1 cup
Potatoes 2 – 3
Mash potato mixture seasoned with butter, salt and black pepper 4 cups
Cheese for garnish
Chop Onions, carrot, garlic, and celery, red and yellow bell pepper.
Now take some olive oil in a pan and add the chopped vegetables to it.
Add soaked and half boiled mixed lentils.
Add salt and black pepper to it.
Now add Thyme and Rosemary to it, and some all-purpose flour to it.
Now add vegetable stock and tomato purée to it.
Add a cup of green peas to it.
In another pan, pour some olive oil and shallow fry the slices of potatoes.
Grease the baking tray and set the layer of the fried potatoes and put the prepared vegetable mixture on the fried potatoes.
Add one more layer of the mash potato mixture on the top of vegetables with the help of a piping bag.
Grate some cheese on the top.
Pre heat the oven at 190˚ for about 5 mins.
Then bake the pie for 15 minutes.
