Normally, 40 to 300 million sperms are present in one milliliter of semen and if the number decreases to less than 15 million, it can cause a problem in conceiving. 1. Wearing tight pants or underwear
Wearing tight pants or underwear can increase the temperature in the scrotum and this can result in poor quality of sperms. It will also lead to lower sperm count. The consistent temperature in the testes plays an important role in the production of healthy sperms. You should wear loose pants and boxers to keep your testes cool.

4. Intensive exercise
Regular exercise is beneficial for your body. However, a prolonged period of intensive exercise can decrease your testosterone levels, which in turn decreases the sperm count. It is advisable to do a less intensive routine if your BMI is lower than 18.5. You can do high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to maintain your health, body and quality of your sperm. 5. Abnormal weight
Any abnormal change in your weight will affect your fertility. An increase in weight will lead to an imbalance in hormone levels, which will affect the quality of the sperm. If a man is underweight, he will have low sperm count.
