It was the night of Golden Globe Awards 2019. Several international movie stars walked the red carpet looking their best but some just sparkled more than the others. Lady Gaga, Halle Berry, Sandra Oh, Penelope Cruz, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicole Kidman, Julia Roberts, Lupita Nyong’o and Julliane Moore among others looked absolutely lovely in their respective red carpet looks. Here’s what we liked about the fashion at 76th annual Golden Globes because it was everything but usual and regular:

Unlike other red carpets, Golden Globes 2019 didn’t just turn out to be a business of black and white. There was a splash of colours seen this time. From cheery yellow, to fiery green, deep red, eclectic blue and golden – it wasn’t just one colour that ruled the red carpet. While Rachel Brosnahan looked bright in her yellow dress, Halle Berry’s sexy maroon gown made heads turn.
Sheer ruled out:

And finally, after many years of shimmer and shine at the red carpet, the sheer-trend was seen bidding a good bye. Except a few like Irina Shayk and Kristen Cavallari, most actresses chose to stay away from donning anything which was sheer nude.
Not just black:

While everyone’s trusty black can never go completely out of style, it was a surprise to see the female celebs wearing this colour with a company of another colour. Most sightings at the red carpet saw black combined with either a statement detail like ruffle or heavy embellishment or an addition of colour like white, orange and red.

This was one trend that most actresses were seen loving at the red carpet. Right from Lady Gaga’s old school gown, Amy Adams blue structure number, Regina King’s shimmery peach gown and Lupita Nyong’o’s sparkly Calvin Klen gown, off-shoulder seemed like a favourite pick by the international beauties.
