Basant Panchami or Vasant Panchami is an auspicious Hindu festival that honours Goddess Saraswati’s wisdom and art. It also serves as a marker of commencement of spring festivities. A celebration of change of season, it is a spiritual occasion that flourishes in the theme of yellow. This year, BAsant Panchami will be celebrated on 2 February. Devotees offer prayers to the goddess for education, wisdom and creativity.

As the festival is the onset of spring, which is called Basant or Vasant in Hindi- it is called Basant Panchmi. It falls on the fifth day the Hindu month of Magh. Here specially curated wishes and messages for Saraswati Puja.
