Deepika Padukone who made her mark with her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the movie 2007 blockbuster Om Shanti Om for which she won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut is celebrating her birthday today. Deepika, the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, was initially inclined towards sports but she left her career in the sport to become a fashion model and soon she became one of the most popular and attractive personalities of India.  Not only she featured in some of the most Bollywood blockbuster hits but she also stood out thanks to being vocal about issues such as feminism, depression, among other things.

Deepika also came up with her fashion label named All About You, she is also the founder of The Live Love Laugh Foundation, which creates awareness on mental health in India.
