Basil is an important herb and every household should have it. With its antibiotic properties, it is very effective in bringing the fever down. You need to make basil tea and drink it two to three time a day to lower your temperature.
How to make basil tea: Take 20 basil leaves and add it to one cup of water. Crush a small piece of ginger and add it to the water. Boil it until it is reduced to half a cup. Take it out of the flame and add a little honey for taste. Drink it two to three times a day.

Now, take a washcloth and soak it in the solution and place it on your forehead. Take another washcloth, soak it in the solution and place it on the stomach. Do this couple of times a day.

5. Sandalwood paste
Sandalwood is known for its cooling and therapeutic properties. It will not only reduce the body temperature but will also reduce the inflammation and calm your mind.
How to use sandalwood: Take one teaspoon of sandalwood powder and add a little water to make a paste. The paste should have a thick consistency. Now, apply the paste on the forehead several times a day. Make sure that the sandalwood paste you are using is of good quality.
