According to the International Dance Council, dance, which has been an important part of the human culture, it has not been prioritized. The aim of celebrating the day is to promote the art of dance and emphasis on the importance of this art form among public. The date is not associated with a particular dance form or a person but it is the day when Jean-Georges Noverre, a French ballet and dance master, was born. The day is also celebrated to urge the government of different countries in this world to offer a place to learn the art of dance in all the educational institutes. The International Dance Day calls for all the dancers in the world to unite.
