The trailer of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi featuring actress Kangana Ranaut was released today. Along with mesmerising people with her powerful performance, she also grabbed eyeballs for attending the launch event in Rani Laxmibai avatar. During media interactions, she gave herself a fashionable spin. The lady wore a sheer turquoise blue saree that had floral prints all over it. She completed her look with a pearl necklace and silver juttis. Kangana was all smiles for shutterbugs. Kangana performed some high-octane action sequences without the use of body double. Action director Nick Powell said, “Kangana didn’t use body double and performed action sequences by herself. Action director, Nick Powell, who worked with her in the films said, “Kangana insisted on doing all the action herself. The idea was to show a warrior who has been learning the ropes from a young age. Kangana practised sword fighting for eight hours a day, and convincingly pulled off each stunt. I have worked with the likes of Russell Crowe, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, but she gave me the unique experience in which an actress was leading the pack. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Manikarnika is all set to hit the screens the on January 25. It will clash with Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30.

On a related note, the actress will be seen sharing the screen space with Rajkummar Rao in Mental Hai Kya. She has also signed Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s film Panga.
