Another day of Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017 came to an end last night. While designers like Sanjay Garg and Masaba Gupta set the ramp on fire with their stunning line of designs on Day 1 of LFW 2017, Day 2 was closed by designer Anavila Misra who showcased her collection titled Blur. Though, she always comes up with a myriad of colors on the ramp, in this season she focused on the color black. And she told news agencies that her choice to go with hues of black was just to bring out the romantic side of this color through her designs. Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week 017 was all about sustainable fashion and Anavila brought out her best designs to the ramp. She believes that it’s about time that designers are also conscious about the environment in the whole process of creating pieces. Anavila mostly used fabrics like silk, linen, loom and khadi in this season.
The silhouettes of the blouses that she chose for her designs were a perfect mix of formal and comfortable. It is perfect for any woman who loves wearing a sari. This ace designer has several friends in Bollywood that includes the likes of Sonam Kapoor, Kajol and also Kiran Rao among several others.
Bollywood stars like Dia Mirza, Kalki Koechlin, Manasi Scot, Mandir Bedi and Sona Mohapatra and Sonali Kulkarni cheered for Anavila from the front rows. Manasi Scott wore this striped sari and plain blouse and this is an outfit that every sari loving woman should have in her closet. Simple yet classy, she accentuated her outfit with that adorable green bag.
Mandira Bedi sizzled the ramp when she walked wearing this teal color sari with a contrast color blouse. She accessorized it with a beautiful chunky neckpiece and a red envelope clutch.
Here is Mini Mathur also wearing a sari with shades of cream, mint green and yellow. The colors makes this sari look vibrant.
Sonali Kulkarani looks classy and stunning in their grey sari that has a golden border. She teamed it up with a bronze blouse and kept it minimal, which is what Anavila was all about this season.
Anavila Misra also created some beautiful handmade slings that the models carried while walking the ramp. Saris, jackets, trouser suits and trench coats ruled the show. All these celebrities strutted heir designer friend’s creation and they looked beautiful.
