The study was published in The New England Journal of Medicine. It states that a drug called liraglutide 3.0 mg, if taken along with a low-calorie diet and increased physical exercise can help obese adolescents to get a body of their dreams. Notably, this medicine has been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). So, you need not worry about its side-effects or effectiveness. If we talk about a detailed study result, it states that consuming liraglutide for around 14 months without fail was found to show significantly reduced BMI (“It is a simple index of weight-for-height that is commonly used to classify overweight and obesity in adults”, says WHO).

Also, the medicine had no significant impact on the blood pressure, glucose level, and fasting lipids of the subjects. Additionally, there were no effects on their growth and development. But, they did experience gastrointestinal side-effects.
