Do you often skip your breakfast when you rush to your workplace every morning? Well, breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day and you should never skip the first meal of the day. Even if you are eating breakfast every day, you need to make sure that you are having something healthy and not just finishing a plateful of empty calories. We share with you a simple recipe of broccoli and cauliflower paratha topped with garlic and oregano spread. This scrumptious and healthy recipe has been shared by Shilpa Shetty on her cooking channel. Cauliflower is low in carbs and high in nutrients. It is a good source of fiber and vitamins, it helps to strengthen your bones and also boosts the cardiovascular system. Where as the other ingredient of the recipe, broccoli is a super food and it will help maintain your heart health, boost brain power and prevent premature skin ageing. So it is a great combination of cauliflower and broccoli in your first meal of the day. Here are the ingredients followed by the method of preparation.
1 1/2 cup wheat flour
1 teaspoon oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
Water as required
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon ajwain
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 cup of grated broccoli
3/4 cup of grated cauliflower
Mint leaves as required
Coriander leaves as required
Dry mango powder as per salt
Start by kneading the dough and keep it aside. To make the filling, in a pan pour some oil and add 1 tablespoon of ginger paste followed by 1 tablespoon of coriander seeds, 1 teaspoon of ajwain, 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and saute .
After a couple of minutes add 1 cup of grated broccoli and 3/4 cup of grated cauliflower.
Sprinkle some water and add salt and pepper as per your requirement. Saute well and sprinkle some dry mango powder, mint leaves and coriander leaves to give a boost to the taste of the parathas.
Pinch the dough into small balls and then roll them. Add the prepared filling, cover the filling with dough and then roll it once again. Cook the paratha on a hot pan and drizzle some oil while it cooks.
Once the paratha gets cooked, serve it on a plate after topping it with some garlic and oregano spread. You can have these tasty parathas with curd.
