Mangoes are a summer favorite and have a rich taste that no another fruit can match. Even people who are not fruit lovers often end up eating tonnes of mangoes in the summer. Aam panna is also a great digestive as it has various spices in it that soothe the stomach. Drink aam panna for a few more days before all the mangoes become ripe and gold. A mango drink that is yummy and healthy, mango lassi or a mango smoothie is a refreshing one to beat the summer heat. Both require mango pulp and curd. You can add a spoonful of sugar if you want it to be sweeter or sweeten it with honey as well. In a smoothie, you can add other fruits as well like a banana to make it more dense and drink it post your workout. But have these cold and you are bound to feel better in the hot sun. The thick drink which is often eaten along with puris is heavily relished every year. Some however, simply like to down it their throats in a cup while some use a spoon to enjoy it one sip at a time. Whatever way you like it, aamras is a must-have in summer. It is essentially a drink with a thick consistency and translates to mango juice. The sweet-tasting liquid is an instant mood lifter in the hot summer months.
