Chhattisgarh: Officer Dead, 5 Other Injured After Poll Party Carrying EVMs Meets With Accident

An election officer died and five other poll body officials suffered injuries after their car met with an accident in Chhattisgarh's Balrampur while transporting EVMs for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections.

New Delhi: An election officer died and five others suffered injuries on Monday after his poll party met with a road accident in Chhattisgarh’s Basantpur area while on their way to Balrampur.

The poll party was travelling with EVMs for the third phase of polling in booth number 51 at Balrampur that is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23.
