Congress Fields MP CM Kamal Nath’s Son Nakul From Chhindwara; Arun Yadav to Contest Lok Sabha Elections 2019 From Khandwa
The Congress released the list of candidates for 12 seats in Madhya Pradesh. The Lok Sabha Elections 2019 are scheduled to begin on April 11 and conclude on May 23.
Bhopal: The Congress on Thursday released a list of 12 candidates for Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The party has fielded Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s son Nakul Nath from Chhindwara, Ajay Singh Rahul from Sidhi and Arun Yadav from Khandwa.
The Rahul Gandhi-led party has also named Prabhusingh Thakur from Sagar, Pratap Singh Lodhi from Damoh, Raja Ram Tripathi from Satna, Siddharth Tiwari from Rewa, Vivek Tankha from Jabalpur, Kamal Maravi from Mandla (ST), Prahlad Tipaniya from Dewas (SC), Babulal Malviya from Ujjain (SC) and Dr Govind Muzaalda from Khargone (ST).
Besides, the party also announced that Chief Minister Kamal Nath will contest the bypoll from the Chhindwara Assembly constituency.

The main contenders in Madhya Pradesh are the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. In 2014 general elections, the BJP had won 26 seats in the state, while the Congress bagged just 3.
The Lok Sabha Elections 2019 are scheduled to be held in seven phases, beginning April 11. The 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh will go to polls in three phases on April 29, May 6 and 12. The voting for the last phase will be conducted on May 19. The counting of votes is to be held on May 23. The results will be announced on the same day.
