New Delhi: In a turn of surprising events, Congress spokesperson Alok Sharma threw a glass of water on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson KK Sharma during a live TV debate on Saturday for calling him a ‘traitor’. The video of the incident was recorded and has now gone viral and is widely being shared on social media platforms including WhatsApp, Twitter, and Facebook.

In the video, Congress spokesperson Alok Sharma lost his cool when his BJP counterpart KK Sharma called him a traitor. Unable to contain his anger, Sharma threw a glass of water but no one was hurt as the glass missed its mark and hit the floor. Water splashed over anchor’s jacket and pieces of glass could be seen across the studio.

Both the panellists were expelled from the show for their rowdy behaviour. Later, the anchor had to change his clothes to complete the debate, which was over the politicisation of Indian Army.

The show had the two national party spokesperson and two retired Amry officers as speakers. The debate was conducted in lieu of the recent remarks made by Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath who called the Army as ‘Modi Ki Sena’. Upon hearing this, the Congress spokesperson lost his cool.
