Bhopal: Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Congress candidate from Guna, filed his nomination from the constituency in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. After filing his nomination, Scindia held a roadshow from Guna to Shivpuri. He took to Twitter to thank the people for their love, affection and warm welcome. Jyotiraditya Scindia said in a tweet in Hindi that he was spellbound to witness the love of his extended family which includes the people of Shivpuri and the Congress workers. He added, “But I understood one thing that the people of Guna, Shivpuri are ready to re-write the verse of victory.”

Meanwhile, on Friday, the Congress general secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia had termed the Bhopal Lok Sabha contest between colleague Digvijaya Singh and BJP’s Pragya Singh Thakur as a fight between two ideologies. Pragya Singh Thakur is an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case.

Responding to a query on Thakur, Scindia claimed, “The contest between our senior leader Digvijaya Singh and BJP candidate Pragya Singh Thakur for Bhopal Lok Sabha seat is a fight between two ideologies. It is not a dharm yudh. It is a fight between two ideologies in which the truth and the Congress will triumph.”

All the 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh including Rewa, Hoshangabad, Betul will vote during phase 4, 5, 6 and 7 in the country for Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The polling dates in the state are scheduled for April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19 respectively. The Lok Sabha voting for the 543 Lok Sabha seats will take place in seven phases. The polling began on April 11 and will conclude on May 19. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
