A case has been registered at Kohe Fiza police station on the complaint of Deputy District Election Officer.

The BJP had complained that Computer Baba had campaigned in favour of Congress candidate Digvijaya Singh.  Baba had organised a three-day event which he said was ‘Hatha Yoga’ and reports then quoted him as saying that he was doing it to ensure Singh’s win in the Lok Sabha elections against BJP’s Pragya Singh Thakur.

He was also quoted as accusing the BJP of “fooling” the community of seers by using the Ram Mandir issue as an issue.

Baba had done ‘Hatha Yoga’ at Saifia College ground a few days ago, in which Singh had reached with his wife. Reports said many Congress leaders were present. The venue had posters of Congress candidates also, sending the BJP running to the Election Commission.

However, on being served the notice by the EC, Baba had said in his response that he had organised the event but had not invited either Singh or his wife. He also claimed that the fund for the event had come from donations.

Computer Baba had rebelled against the BJP after being denied a ticket to contest Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Bhopal went to polls in the sixth phase on May 12, and counting of votes will take place on May 23.
