New Delhi: Poll strategist and senior JD(U) leader Prashant Kishor took pot shots, presumably at RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and family on Saturday by calling them out on peddling lies about him and his political manoeuvring in the state of Bihar.

Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, a day ago, claimed that Kishor met with Lalu Prasad Yadav and urged him to think favourably of an alliance between JD(U) and RJD, in view of the Lok Sabha elections– and jointly declare a prime ministerial candidate.

To this, Kishor on Saturday tweeted:

She added that if Kishor denies this meeting, then he is surely lying.

“I asked him to go away as I had no trust left in Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar following his betrayal,” Rabri Devi, wife of RJD chief Lalu Yadav and party national vice-president told a regional news channel in Patna on Friday.

Nitish Kumar had walked out of the Grand Alliance in Bihar last year, which had JD(U), RJD and the Congress knit in a poll partnership. Kumar then rejoined the BJP-led NDA.

She said, “All our staff and security personnel deployed here were witnesses. He called on us at least five times, mostly here (her residence),” and a couple of times to her younger son Tejashwi Yadav’s residence.

“Kishor was sent by Nitish with the proposal…he did not come in the dark of night,” she said.
