Kollam: Addressing a rally in Kollam district of Kerala, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said, “India is not just one perspective, India is not just one idea, India is millions and millions of different viewpoints, different perspectives and all of those are important to us.”

Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul said, “The PM said ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’, meaning we will erase the idea of Congress from India.” He added, “What Congress says to Narendra Modi is, ‘we don’t agree with you. We will fight you to convince you, you are wrong. We will beat you in the election but we won’t use violence against you’.”

At the public rally in Kollam, the Congress President said, “I normally fight the election from Amethi in north India but this time I chose to give a message to south India by fighting from Kerala.” Currently, our country is “under attack” from BJP and RSS, claimed Rahul Gandhi adding that “No matter how many times you (BJP/RSS) attack us, we will use love and non-violence to convince you are wrong.”

Rahul had arrived at Kollam last night on a two-day visit to Kerala. Besides Kollam, he would address rallies in three more districts. The Congress chief, who is contesting from Wayanad district as a second constituency besides the Amethi, will be addressing meetings in his constituency on Wednesday.
