Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Madhya Pradesh has 29 Lok Sabha constituencies. The state will go to polls in four phases on April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. Let us take a look at the key details of Tikamgarh, Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna constituencies in Madhya Pradesh which will go to polls in the fifth phase on May 6.

The nomination for these seats was scrutinised on April 20 and the final date of candidate’s withdrawal is fixed at April 22. The deadline for filing the nomination for the respective seats falls on April 18.

Tikamgarh: This constituency was established in 2008. Voting for the Tikamgarh constituency will take place in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 on May 6. This year, the candidates who are contesting from the constituency are BJP candidate (SC) Virendra Kumar Khateek and INC candidate (SC) Kiran Ahirwar. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Virendra Kumar had won the Tikamgarh seat by defeating Congress candidate Ahirwar Dr Kamlesh Verma.

Damoh: This constituency was established in 1962. Voting for the Damoh constituency will take place in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 on May 6. The Damoh seat comprises eight assembly constituencies including Deori, Banda and Rehli. This year, the candidates who are contesting for the Damoh seat are BJP’s Prahlad Patel and INC’s Pratap Singh Lodhi. In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, BJP candidate Prahalad Singh Patel had won the Damoh seat by defeating Choudhary Mahendra Pratap Singh from Congress.

Khajuraho: This constituency was established in the year 1957. Voting for this constituency will take place in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 on May 6. The Khajuraho seat comprises eight assembly constituencies including Panna, Rajnagar and Chandla. This year, while BJP has fielded Bishnu Datt Sharma for the Khajuraho seat, INC has fielded Kavita Singh. In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, BJP candidate Nagendra Singh had won the Khajuraho seat by defeating Congress candidate Raja Pateria.

Satna: Voting for the Satna Parliamentary Constituency will take place in the fifth phase of General Elections 2019 on May 6. This constituency comprises seven assembly constituencies including Chitrakoot, Raigaon and Nagod. The candidates who are contesting from the Satna constituency in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 are BJP candidate Ganesh Singh and INC candidate Raja Ram Tripathi. In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, BJP candidate Ganesh Singh had won the Satna seat by defeating Congress candidate Ajay Singh Rahul Bhaiyya.

The polling for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 began on April 11 will conclude on May 19. The counting of votes will be held on May 23. The results will be announced on the same day.
