New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two election rallies in Odisha’s Sundergarh and Sonepur on Saturday. After addressing rallies in Odisha, PM will go to Maharashtra and Chattisgarh later in the day.
Meanwhile, Shah, who is contesting the Lok Sabha election from Gandhinagar, will start his campaign with two road-shows today. The road-shows will cover several areas of the western part of Ahmedabad city which falls in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. The first road-show will start from Sarkhej on the outskirts of Ahmedabad today morning and will end at Haveli in Vastrapur.
In the evening, Shah would take part in another road-show which will pass through the Sabarmati area. Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is also slated to address poll meetings at Anand, Vadodara and Ahmedabad today.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also scheduled to attend a public meeting at Berhampur on Saturday.
He will attend party’s Vijay Sankalp Samabesh at Polsara and Bargarh on Sunday. As per BJP sources, Shah will again campaign in Odisha on April 9. Shah is likely to take out a roadshow from Singha Dwara of Shree Jagannath Temple to Badasankha in Puri.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi is also scheduled to visit south Odisha to campaign for his candidates on April 9, informed Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik. Rahul Gandhi is likely to attend a public meeting at Digapahandi in Ganjam district on April 9.
Election to the 14 Lok Sabha seats and 147-member Odisha Assembly would be held in four phases starting from April 11.
