BJP’s Devji Patel is the incumbent MP from Jalore. He had won over Congress’ Anjana Udai Lal in 2014 by nearly 4,00,000 votes. He is seeking his third consecutive term from Jalore this year as he has been the MP since 2009. One of the 25 constituencies of Rajasthan, Udaipur has a total electorate of 1564137. The administrative headquarters of the constituency are in Udaipur district. Udaipur has traditionally seen a contest between the Congress and the BJP. The sitting MP from Udaipur is BJP’s Arjunlal Meena, who won against Congress’ Raghuvir Singh in 2014 by nearly 2,00,000 votes. Raghuvir Singh was the Udaipur MP in 2009.

Udaipur has been a Congress stronghold since its inception in 1951.

The Banswara constituency is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates. The total number of electorates in this Lok Sabha constituency is 1457980, out of which 741837 are males and the rest females. This Lok Sabha constituency has also majorly fallen into the Congress’ kitty since its inception.

The current MP is from BJP- Manshankar Ninama who won against Congress’ Resham Malviya in 2014. In 2009, Tarachand Bhagora of the Congress was the Banswara MP.

This time in the fray are BJP’s Kanakmal Katara and Tarachand Bhagora from the Congress.

Sitting BJP MP CP Joshi is seeking a re-election this term. He had won against Congress’ Girija Vyas in 2014 by a huge margin of over 4,00,000 votes. He is up against Gopal Singh Idwa of the Congress this Lok Sabha contest.

Rajasmand Lok Sabha constituency consists of eight Vidhan Sabha seats, out of which one is reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates. There are total 1489231 electorates in the constituency, out of which 764487 are males and 724744 are females. Rajasmand has seen contests between BJP and the Congress. With the BJP candidate Hariom Singh being the sitting MP and Gopal Singh Shekhawat being the Congress MP in 2009.

Hariom Singh won against Shekhawat in 2014 by nearly 4,00,000 votes. This time BJP is fielding Divya Kumari against the Congress’ Devkinandan Gurjar.
