New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing over four thousand people through his much-anticipated programme, ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ via video conferencing from New Delhi’s Talkatora stadium on Sunday. The one-hour programme is being telecast across the country at 500 places and will see the interaction of BJP workers, professionals, chowkidars, traders, farmers among others.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) bigwigs, including party chief Amit Shah and Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley are expected to participate in the programme. Lauding PM Modi, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari said, “Narendra Modi has revolutionised the masses who have rose in his support after Rahul Gandhi crossing the limits of decency heaped allegations on him without any evidence.”
Tiwari added that the Delhi BJP has arranged for gatherings of party workers and locals in seven Lok Sabha constituency. Party president Amit Shah will join a gathering at Lawrence Road in Chandni Chowk constituency and Rajnath Singh will join the event at Ganesh Chowk in East Delhi. Meanwhile, Sushma Swaraj will be present at Uttam Nagar along with party workers and locals.
Tiwari said Modi has received support from people which is evident by around 17 crore impressions and 30 lakh tweets related to ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ hashtag.
It must be noted that BJP leaders like Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath will also hold rallies in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. While Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address rallies in Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituencies, Amit Shah will address a public meeting in Baghpat’s Gandhi Memorial Inter College.
Adityanath’s rally will be held in Greater Noida’s Bisada village, where he will canvas for votes for Gautam Budh Nagar’s sitting MP Dr Mahesh Sharma. For Ghaziabad, he will urge support for sitting MP and BJP’s candidate General (Retd) VK Singh at Loni. Union minister JP Nadda will also be present alongside Adityanath.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Deve Gowda will also hold a joint rally in Bengaluru-Mysuru region and two election rallies in Andhra Pradesh.
