According to reports, Uday Jakhar, son of Balbir Singh Jakhar has made the sensational claim that his father paid money to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in exchange for a ticket to contest from West Delhi this Lok Sabha election.
Uday Jakhar further claimed that his father refused to pay for his higher education while maintaining that he needed that money for his political aspirations. In the video, junior Jakhar can be heard saying that the money was handed to senior party leader Gopal Rai and national convener Arvind Kejriwal.
Reacting to this, Balbir Jakhar denied all accusations and said that he divorced his wife a long time ago and has been living separately ever since. The AAP leader also added that his son has not been living with him for the past 14-15 years.
While Uday Jakhar claims that his father spoke to him on the phone and conveyed this ploy himself, senior Jakhar has denied having had this conversation ever.
The Aam Aadmi Party leader is now scheduled to address the press at 3:30 pm on Saturday.
