New Delhi: Congress general secretary for Uttar Pradesh (East) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday exuded confidence about BJP’s defeat in Lok Sabha elections 2019. Speaking to reporters after casting her vote in national capital, the Congress leader claimed that it is ‘very clear’ that the BJP will be thrown out of power. She also accused PM Modi of ‘deviating from real issues and raking up random things’.
“There is anger among people, and they are under distress. Modiji, instead of talking about real issues, has been talking about random things. And, now, they will express their anger against this government through voting,” PTI quoted Priyanka as saying.
She added,”He doesn’t reply to any of the issues that our party raised, and just talks about random things. Congress campaigns on real issues and the prime minister has not even responded to the challenge thrown by our party president (Rahul Gandhi) to debate on real issues.”
The Congress leader and her husband Robert Vadra exercised their franchise at a polling booth in the Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate area of Central Delhi. In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had registered thuming victory on all the seven parliamentary seats in national capital.
